My job isn't to sell you a product. It's to protect what matters to you and put you in the best possible position for the future you actually want.

I'm Gabriel, a financial adviser based in Somerset West, working with clients across South Africa. I studied a BCom in Investment Management at Stellenbosch University — which means I came into this through the numbers, not through sales. I understand how money actually works: how it grows, what quietly erodes it, and how the right decision today changes everything a decade from now.

Most advisers reach for the quickest solution to the problem in front of them. I don't work that way. I look at your whole picture — your income, your risks, your goals, your family — and I'll never give you something you don't actually need. If a product doesn't move you closer to where you want to be, it has no place in your plan.

I work with ambitious people in the part of life where the decisions matter most — young professionals finding their feet, families taking on real responsibility, and business owners building something meant to last. I'm backed by the institutional strength of Innovative Financial Advisor Services, but you deal with me directly. Not a call centre, not a queue. Me.

Off the clock, I'm a former competitive rugby player — I came up through Paul Roos and played at a high level in Stellenbosch — and these days you'll find me in HYROX-style training instead. I'm a die-hard Liverpool supporter, and my work is grounded in my Christian faith. The discipline, the long game, the sense that you're playing for something bigger than yourself — that's how I approach your money too.

    No. I'll review what you already have honestly — and if it's working, I'll tell you to keep it. I only ever recommend a change when it genuinely puts you in a better position. The goal is the right plan for you, not churning products.

    Almost certainly not. The decisions you make early — how you save, how you're covered, how you structure things for tax — compound enormously over time. Starting earlier is the single biggest advantage you can give yourself. It costs nothing to find out where you stand.
